Description

Barbados Apricot Brandy (#255, possibly Pua Noa) is a cultivar registered by Barbara Randolph in 1987 from a cutting gifted in Barbados. Flowers are yellow-orange, 3 to 3.5 inches, with a very small dark orange-pink center, dark veins, a pink outer band, and a dark pink band on the back. Petals are long, oval, upturned at the inner edge with a slight twist and rounded tips, slightly overlapping with medium texture. Fragrance is moderate, sweet, and fruity, and keeping quality is good though it tends to fade. Dark green oblanceolate leaves have acuminate tips. Branches are thin and rooting is fast. It sets seed.

Appearance

Yellow-orange flowers with a very small dark orange-pink center, dark veins, a pink outer band, and a dark pink band on the reverse. Petals are long, oval, slightly overlapping with medium texture, upturned inner edges with a slight twist, and rounded tips. Flowers measure 3 to 3.5 inches. Tendency to fade is high.
