Description
A vivid yellow cultivar producing 3-inch blooms in very large clusters, heavy blooming with sweet fragrance and upright branching. Lemon-yellow petals are slightly curled with hints of buttercups. Floral scent with citrus tinge, sweet but not strong. Intense buttery yellow. Found on East Coast of Australia. Medium tree form. Also called Darwin Yellow by wholesalers in Darwin; confusion exists as anything yellow from Darwin gets this name. Not the same as Heidi (half the size). Bribie Gold is more similar to Bowen Yellow.

Floral with a tinge of citrus, sweet, not strong. Found on the East Coast of Oz. Intense, buttery yellow, 3.5-4”. Medium growth habit and prodigious bloomer. Bowen is regularly named Darwin yellow these days as they come from the Darwin wholesalers and it seems anything yellow gets called Darwin Yellow. Not Heidi: completely different flower half the size of Bowen. Bribie gold is more similar to Bowen yellow.
