Description
Chuppa Chup is a medium compact to prostrate-growing plumeria reaching about 5 feet tall with roughly twice the spread, producing branches that tend to droop. The rainbow effect arose originally from a stressed tricolor, and many buyers acquired plants expecting reliable rainbow expression that did not persist. Flowers are 4 inches with soft, creamy, rounded white petals streaked or patched with deep pink through the middle and a golden yellow center, and carry a fragrant gardenia scent. Pink streaks fade when the plant is not grown under drier conditions. It is hard to grow and bloom. Named for an Australian candy.
