Description

P. obtusa cultivar now mythical in Singapore where it originated as 'Pink Singapore'. Original cutting brought from Singapore to Australia by expats. Flowers are white, pink, orange and yellow with hot pink unopened flower buds. Medium to large tree with dark green glossy leaves and excellent perfume, similar to popular Singapore obtusa. Also called 'Fiesta Rainbow' with no or very little scent and possibly a seedling of Puu Kahea. Sets seed. Also includes cultivar 'Fiji Fire' with intense red color, and 'Fiji White' which sets seed.

. P. obtusa cv fiesta is now mythical in Singapore where it originated, but no longer occurs. In Singapore it was called Pink Singapore. The original cutting was brought from Singapore to Australia by expats who worked and lived there many years ago. We were given a few cuttings from the owners of the original tree brought from Singapore. The flowers are white, pink, orange and yellow with hot pink flower unopened flower buds. The flowers are delightful. Medium to large tree with same dark green glossy leaves and excellent perfume as the popular Singapore obtusa. Fiesta Rainbow No scent or very little scent. Possibly a seedling of Puu Kahea. Sets seed. Fiji Fire intense red Fiji White sets seed.
