Similar to but not the same as Red Esther, Hilo Beauty, and related cultivars. Named by Wendie Bloomquist after the original tree was reported by its previous owners to have been grown from a cutting brought back from Madagascar.
Provenance
Wendie Bloomquist took cuttings from a tree whose owners said it had been grown from a cutting brought back from Madagascar, giving rise to the name.
