Description

Seedling of unknown origin, named in honor of Mary Robinson Foster, founder of Foster Botanical Gardens in Honolulu, Hawaii, who donated the gardens to the city of Honolulu. Produces 4 to 5-inch medium pink flowers with an orange center, light pink veining, and slightly upturned inner edges. Petals are wide, elliptical, moderately overlapping with rounded tips. Pink bands are present on the reverse. Inflorescence stalks are reddish brown and upright. Keeping quality is average and tendency to fade is low. Growth habit is average with good branching; leaves are medium green, elliptical with acuminate tips.

Appearance

Wide elliptical petals, moderately overlapping with rounded tips; medium pink with slightly upturned inner edges, a small orange center, and light pink veining; pink bands on the reverse; 4 to 5 inches.
