Very dark red blooms, elliptical separated slightly pointed petals 2 1/2". The dark red flower blends to black center with upturned inner edges. No bands on reverse. Blooms have mild pepper fragrance. Keeping quality is below average with a high tendency to fade. Tall grower. Branching is poor. Elliptical dark green leaves have red veins on the reverse with blunt tips. Open pollinated seedling of unknown origin. Mother tree died in 2007 freeze.
