Description
A true obtusa species from Costa Rica. Forms a compact short tree, more of a bush than a tree, with evergreen foliage. Leaves are wavy, narrow (1" wide, about 8" long). Flowers are small 2" white with a small yellow center and a sweet jasmine scent. A heavy bloomer with moderately slow growth. Seeds are difficult to germinate and cuttings do not root. A separate 'Costa Rica Yellow' from Bob's Jungle has large flowers with an excellent scent.
