Description

A naturally dwarf, pale yellow flower with a bright yellow center, known for heavy blooming and fragrant, lei-quality flowers. Trees stand no more than about 2 feet tall and can carry as many as 15 growth tips that leaf and flower; all produce flowers in the first year, many with multiple stalks. Alan Bunch reportedly discovered the stock in an abandoned Hawaiian lei field of neglected, stunted Celadine trees, from which these Patio plumerias were derived. Conventional wisdom is that, with proper soil and care, they will revert to normal-sized Celadines, since cuttings are taken from the slower-growing top of the canopy.

Anecdotal Notes
Diana

pale yellow, bright yellow center - thriving, heavy blooming fragrant plumeria. The trees stand no more than 2 ft. Tall and can have as many as 15 growth tips which will bear leaves and eventually flowers. All will produce flowers the very first year, with many producing many flower stalks. Additionally, the flowers are very fragrant and lei worthy. At a talk given by Alan Bunch, he actually revealed that he found an abandoned Lei field in Hawai'i, with many neglected and therefore very stunted Celadine trees. These became his Patio plumeria. Conventional wisdom dictates that once given proper soil and care, these will revert to being normal-sized Celadines. It is a cutting taken at the top of the canopy, where growth is slower. Once you get it home, it will eventually grow like a regular celadine.
