Description
Discovered in a nursery near Ang Thong in northern Thailand as a seedling of Chompoo Khao Yai. Flowers are 3.5 to 4.5 inches, occasionally up to 5 inches, with overlapping oval petals in pink with golden-yellow and orange toward the center and distinctive red veining. Color can intensify significantly in heat, producing amazing, abundant, and heavy blossoms. The tree reaches about 8 feet tall with a vigorous, lanky growth habit and a large, symmetrical, heavy canopy of thick, sturdy branches. Leaves are medium green, elliptical with pointed tips. Sets seed.
Appearance
3.5-5 inch pink flowers with overlapping, oval, long petals; golden-yellow and orange center with distinctive red veining. Thick texture.
