Description

Purple Jade Dragon features overlapping, round, golden-yellow petals with red to purple-red area along the edge and red veining spreading from the base. Buds are dark red with dark red to almost black petioles. The fragrance is a medium sweet honey with a hint of wild strawberry. Many color variations occur depending on conditions, with sometimes purple edge prominent, other times red dominating with little blue evident. Size and intensity of yellow center varies. Slow grower with medium growth and drooping branches. Tends toward black tip. Should be grafted due to difficulty to root.
