Description
Tahitian Moonglow is similar to Orange and related cultivars but has a different growth habit; see also John John. Flowers are a good apricot color 3.5-4 inches across with a touch of orange, long petals with pointed tips, and a coral-red band on the reverse. Fragrance is good. Growth is lanky, and the plant sets seed. It originally came from a friend of the collector named Celso, who obtained a cutting in Oahu about 30 years before passing the cultivar on. The name refers to the full moon as it appears in Tahiti.
