Vishnu gold
Description
Similar to Clark. Named after the Indian deity goddess Vishnu. Produces the biggest flowers at 6-8". Flowers never fully open and stay in a chalice shape. Large trumpet-shaped flowers of heavy substance with overlapping petals. White, increasingly yellow toward center with some red markings on 3-4" blooms. Petals overlapping with pointed tip. White and gold tulip shape, when forced open reaches over 8". Very strong grower but hard to root. Very large tulip or goblet shape strongly scented. Long lasting and huge flowers with medium-tall tree. Never more than a few blooms open at any one time but they are very big. Petals somewhat wavy with reddish band on underside. Fall off very soon after opening. Great scent—floral honey with a touch of Celadine and strong peaches—sometimes soapy. Very dependable bloomer in hot or cool summers. Large branches and leaf scars.
