Description
Beauty Queen produces 4 inch flowers with curved and fluted petals featuring a deep red to gold center that blends to orange, ringed by light pink to white petals with a dark pink mottle. Deep magenta is stronger on the right side of the petals and grainy on the left, giving a two-toned appearance. Texture is heavy and keeping quality is excellent. Fragrance is very sweet and floral. Flower production is very generous with a long bloom season. Some descriptions note 3 to 3.5 inch versions with deep red or orange centers moving out to freckled blends of reds, maroons, and deep purple on large rounded, heavily overlapping petals with some upward curling. Growth is compact with an odd habit. A related entry mentions Bec M, a 2 inch red and white flower with upright petals awaiting PSA registration.
Appearance
