Colors

Description

A distinctive white plumeria with dark pink-edged petals, gold throat, and excellent grainy, veiny texture. Blush intensifies in heat, traveling from petal edge toward center. Low, very broad-shaped tree. Subsequent flowerings bring stronger pink edging and attractive grainy pink fingers reaching into yellow throat. Reverse side coloring matches the top. In peak heat and sun, pink edging becomes noticeably darker, becoming dominant color. In shade on lower branches, more white appears. Petals are strongly grainy, holding shape well, though pink color tends to fade within days. Fragrance is not strong but reminiscent of Johnson's Baby Powder and Johnson's Baby Oil. Flowers over very long period with prolific pod production.

Anecdotal Notes
Diana

The blush intensifies in heat, travelling down from petal edge towards centre and has an excellent grainy/veiny texture. Dark pink edged petal, with white centre and gold throat. Low, but very broad shaped tree. Subsequent flowerings have brought out a stronger pink edge, and also very attractive grainy pink fingers reaching down into a yellow throat. The colouring of the reverse side is the same as the top. In the heat, and at the top of the tree in full sun, the pink edging becomes noticeably darker, and is the dominant colour. In the shade, on the lower branches, more white is seen. These petals are strongly ‘grainy’ and hold their shape well, though the pink colour tends to fade in a few days. The perfume is not strong, but reminds me of Johnson’s Baby Powder and Johnson’s Baby Oil. Flowers over a very long period and pods prolifically.
