Description
Slow-growing, compact tree with medium-thickness branches. Produces 3 inch star-shaped blooms combining orange, darker pink, and red, with a reddish-pink band on the petal reverse. Requires heat and humidity to develop its deep red center. Cut branches tend to die back to the trunk, and the plant does not bleed sap when cut. Usually blooms in late summer into fall, sometimes also in spring.
