Description
Not JL Thailand Red. Very large clusters of 3 to 3.5-inch flowers with very sweet scent and deep red coloration with gold centers and small sparkles. A nice red with rounded shape, 2.5 to 3 inches. Oval, strongly overlapping petals of heavy substance. Color is dark red of velvety appearance, dusted with gold towards center. Fragrance is none or very slight. Keeping quality is good. Leaves are young, unfolding leaves dark red, later medium to dark green with some bronze shading. Unusual sweet scent of root beer barrel. Slow grower and somewhat compact with good branching. Sets seed.
