Fruit Salad Darryl, recognized as the official 'Fruit Salad', was named during Frangifest 2005 in Queensland; the naming convention called for other Fruit Salads to be identified by their collection locations. It is a strong-growing medium tree with wavy leaves and a curved corolla, producing 3 inch rainbow pink, orange and yellow flowers with good substance and a sweet fragrance. A related form, Fruit Salad Deluxe, is a very heavy bloomer with large clusters of white, yellow, pink and cerise flowers.
