Description

Moragne hybrid #178, seed parent Daisy Wilcox, pollen parent Scott Pratt; named for the daughter of William Moragne, Sr. Flowers are 3 to 4 inches with intense brick-red to vibrant hot pink edges contrasting with soft white rolled inner petal edges and yellow shading radiating from the center, sometimes blended with peachy-orange and yellow. Petals are elliptical with rounded tips, moderately overlapped, of heavy texture and thick substance; many blooms show 6 to 8 petals. Strong sweet fruity or gardenia-like scent with great keeping quality. Compact multi-branched tree with wimpy roots; can bloom on new tips. Huge lush bloom heads that last. Sets seed.

Appearance

Intense red to vibrant hot pink edges with soft white rolled inner edges and yellow shading from the center; often with peachy-orange and yellow blending. Elliptical petals with rounded tips, moderately overlapped, heavy texture. Many flowers display 6 to 8 petals.

Bloom

3 to 4 inch flowers with great keeping quality in huge, long-lasting bloom heads. Can bloom on new tips.

Fragrance

Strong sweet fruity; also described as gardenia.

Compact tree with multiple branching and wimpy roots. Medium-sized tree.
