Description

Florida Colors Nursery cultivar, a seedling of Pink Pansy, renamed Luc's Magnum Opus. Produces magnificent 3.5 to 4-inch light pink flowers with dense dark red bands on the front and back, a yellow-orange throat with darker radiating veins, and many dark red sparkles across the petal body. Petals are rounded and overlapping. Keeping quality is excellent. A beefy, hardy plant that blooms from April to November. Prefers semi-shade; will not bloom well in extreme heat. Somewhat fussy in culture, not cold tolerant. Medium tall with thick branches and wide dark green leaves. Fast grower. Recommended for coastal growing. Sets seed. A companion description of Mahalo is included: a spectacular cupped, heavy bloomer with great fragrance in pink and yellow, producing very large flowers.

Appearance

Bloom

Blooms continuously from April through November.
