Maung, also rendered Mong, Moung, or Muang, means purple (and also city or town). Maung (Violet) Jack is a violet flower with an orange to yellow center and a sweet floral fragrance. A remarkable violet with blue veins, 3 to 4 inches, whose color becomes strong purple-blue when fully open. Petals are overlapping with heavy substance and perfect form, dusted with yellow-orange in the center. Maung (Violet) Lucite is a deep, dark, rich reddish-purple with a dark purple/black center and fragrant, unique flowers.
