Description
A cultivar with unique long-lasting flowers that are partially open, resembling seashells. Salmon-orange blending to white with bands of reddish-pink on the reverse. Pale orange-yellow shell with strong red band on back. Petals have pointed tips and overlap in shell fashion with strong sweet fragrance and very good keeping quality. Corolla tube pale orange-yellow with strong, upright dense branching, reddish bands on back, petal narrow with round tip, good texture. Similar in shape to White Shell but differs in amount of yellow pigmentation. Partially unfurled flower 1 inch. Strong sweet citrus fragrance. Upright growth with green oblanceolate leaves with acuminate tips. Flowers display reverse of petals banded with rich peachy-pink on one edge gradually changing to creamy white, heavy petal texture, strong sweet fragrance. Probable parent Daisy Wilcox. Orangish-yellow and peachy-pink shell flower with red band on back, pointed petal tips, shell-form overlap, medium texture. The flower opens like a trumpet in very hot weather when high temperature.
