Description

This entry combines multiple cultivars. Star of India (possibly Hanging Windmill, Upland) has 2.5 to 4-inch star-shaped flowers with long skinny petals, pure white with a yellow eye, a sweet scent similar to but less strong than Singapore, and is evergreen. Star of Siam (JJ) produces extremely large softly curled pink blooms with white veins and ruffled edges, gorgeous sweet floral fragrance, and utterly huge long-lasting clusters on a fast-growing, strong, medium-sized tree with excellent branching and knobby wood. Sets seed.
