Description
Sundance Southern Calif came by way of King K Highway on Kauai and was named by Marilyn Cohen of Marilyn's Gardens. Flowers are 3 to 3.5 inches, with rounded petals, dark pink coloring, an orange center, and orange and red veining throughout the petals, often described as streaky salmon. The fragrance is distinctive and sweetly cinnamon-like, reminiscent of Dentyne gum, though some perceive it as unpleasantly oniony. The plant is a strong, prolific bloomer with excellent branching and gray-green leaves, and it sets seed. It has been compared to "Iris Sunset on steroids."
