Texas Beauty (#251) is considered one of Elizabeth Thornton's best selections. It bears 3.5-inch pastel pink rainbow flowers blended with orange, yellow, and deep rose pink, held in inflorescences averaging 7-12 florets. The orange-pinkish-yellow petals are open with pointed tips and do not overlap. Fragrance is citrus. Initial blooms can be intense, comparable to Puu Kahea. The tree has a well-balanced, robust growth habit with excellent trunk structure and very attractive dark green leaves. It is a seedling of Courtade Pink and a pod sibling of Mardi Gras.
