Description
Thai Splash JJ produces 3-4 inch flowers in large clusters set against dense, dark green foliage. The color is a bright rainbow of dark pink, red, orange, and yellow with a red band on the petal reverse; the rainbow effect is accentuated by red, yellow, and white speckles. Petals are medium-thick. Color shifts toward splashy red while the yellow fades over time, and purple edges or a full orange-red cast appear in heat. The splash pattern is not caused by a virus. Fragrance is a medium spicy scent, and the plant is a heavy, reliable bloomer over a long season. Growth is semi-compact to medium; some trees grow tall with regular branches, others thin, and heat is needed to bring out the splash. Recommended for the coast.
